While exploring Three Forks Conservation Area this morning we came upon shrubby area with hundreds of these Barn Swallows congregating together.   |

This was the first time I have seen such a large, not-in-flight, congregation of Barn Swallows. They are frequently seen flying helter skelter over the marshes and woods.

I saw a bunch at Joe overstreet this week all lined up on a wire. ...until they swarmed.  |
