Thanks Edwin, I like them all, is that a young hawk? Cool you got to see the owl, wonderful capture & composition, it totally blends in with the dead tree & the ruffled feathers are great.

All are very nice captures. The owl shot came out very well considering all of the back lighting.

Hi Edwin, I haven't been to either place for some time. This forum has a facebook page, maybe you could get info there.

Hi Edwin, I don't know if you tried Black Point yet, but I heard last week it was closed for I believe road maintenance, so probably should call the MINWR visitors center first. Biolab Road just north of Black Point is a nice drive.

Thank you for mentioning the BioLab. It used to be an awesome place to shoot and forgot about it.

It cost you $10 now same as Black point and you can only go one way(south) from Biolab road boat ramp.

thank you Frank and Tim. Looking to make my way to the Viera area and Black Point Drive. How is activity there as of late? Information from a volunteer ranger at the Viera Wetlands
"As of the November 12, 2019 wetlands hotline phone message update, the rope gate to vehicular traffic was closed and will remain closed for a period of time that could last 2 months or longer. The road conditions have been deemed a safety concern and for that reason will remain closed while our team works on repairing the berms. We ask that you please be patient while we do our best to get the roads repaired and back in service as quickly as possible. The wetlands will remain open to foot traffic during posted hours."

My nephew who works for Duda told me the road to Moccasin Island had collapsed along the main canal somewhere west of the "waterfall" and the road has been closed.
