Alligators always seem to attract the attention of visitors to this state. This small Alligator was posing for photographs by out of state visitors at the Viera Wetlands.

I came from Iowa in the 1970s & have always been excited to see an alligator. Thanks Ira.

Nice photo Ira. Gators really do make nice photography subjects.
I hope the out of state visitors weren't taking "Selfies" with the gator like some people at the Orlando Wetlands were doing recently!!! It scared me just watching those folks taking photos of themselves with the gator only maybe 8 -10 feet behind them. I guess bad things rarely happen but I sure would never get that close to a gator.

This little alligator was only about 3 foot long so it is of no danger to anyone.
I have seen a number of visitors to the Viera Wetlands (some of them Florida residents) taking "Selfies" with the alligators which is dangerous. I have also seen some get within 4-5 feet of some large Alligators in order to get a close-up photograph with a cell phone. I guess these foolish people don't know how incredibly fast an Alligator can move.
The other bad habit I see is visitors walking their leashed dogs (Alligator Bait) along the edge of the ponds which places the dog and it's owner in danger of an Alligator attack.
