The population these lizards on the Cocoa Beach/Cape Canaveral barrier island seems to be slowly growing, I have seen several working at jobs in the last couple of years. I believe they are native to the Bahamas & they are bigger than the cuban brown anoles.

Tim, you are right on the origins of this lizard. The (Leiocephalus carinatus armouri) is endemic to the islands of the Little Bahama Bank.

Thanks Ira, I was shooting somewhat into the sun & had to stay back quite a ways. They get a good eight inches long.
