I was working off St Andrews in Suntree & saw these turtles. The first one's behavior seemed interesting to me, it was a good 30 feet from the retention pond and moving thru the grass apparently not back to the water. THe 2nd one was sunning at the edge of the pond.  upload and share your photos

Nice shots. I would bet the first one is a female looking for a spot to dig a nest hole to lay her eggs.

You are probably right Ira. Thanks. It would stop & act like it was trying to dig. Of course I was thinking as a human & wandering why it would attempt to try & dig in the grass turf surrounding the pond.
