I was working off St Andrews in Suntree & saw these turtles. The first one's behavior seemed interesting to me, it was a good 30 feet from the retention pond and moving thru the grass apparently not back to the water. Nice shots. I would bet the first one is a female looking for a spot to dig a nest hole to lay her eggs.

You are probably right Ira. Thanks. It would stop & act like it was trying to dig. Of course I was thinking as a human & wandering why it would attempt to try & dig in the grass turf surrounding the pond.
