That provides great cover for baby fish and other small critters that fish use for a food source. Nice shots,Tim.

Cocoa Beach has completely removed all of the invasive Casuarina from the Thousand Islands and replanted many areas with native species. The Australian Pines crowd out all other species, birds don't favor them for nesting or food and they propagate aggressively.

The hard freeze in 1978? killed off hundreds of the Casuarina. Once they get going nothing else seems to grow near them.
I actually saw a couple brown anoles on one of the spoil islands 1/2 mile or more from shore.
