They have some very large hags at the St. Sebastian River Preserve State Park. Last year my wife and I saw a hog that had to be in excess of 400 pounds!
It's nice to see them, but they can sure cause a lot of damage when they are rooting............

I haven't seen a hog that big at SSRP but in 2014 one of the rangers did kill one that was in excess of 400 lbs. At that time the rangers had permission from the state to try to eradicate the hogs from the preserve. Their eradication program resulted in a significant and very observable reduction in the hog population especially to me since I spent a lot of my time working in the woods and swamp. The hogs certainly can inflict terrible damage to the ecology of areas they have torn up while rooting for food.
