Have you been trying to identify a snail that you found in a freshwater source in Florida. Well there is a source on the internet called AN IDENTIFICATION MANUAL FOR THE FRESHWATER SNAILS OF FLORIDA last updated on March 5, 2004. It is a key to 113 species and subspecies of snails occurring in Florida freshwaters. This key is produced by Fred G. Thompson, Curator of Malacology, Florida Museum of Natural History, University of Florida, Gainesville, Florida 32611-7800. Find it at: Identification Manual Freshwater Snails of Florida
