Audrey Whitlock called me to let me know that an immature Great Cormorant was at Sebastian Inlet State Park, north side, on jetty by tidal basin NOW. (Noon-still preening at 12:27pm). Great Brevard County bird. The last one was on 10/28/10 at the Viera Click Ponds.

I just received another E-mail confirming that indeed a Great Cormorant is at the Sabastian Inlet. It Said.......

It’s a really good friend who will stand in a constant rain with a GREAT CORMORANT in view in her scope, then lower the scope for short people to view, as did Audrey Whitlock today at the north side of Sebastian Inlet when we four stepped from the car!!!!!! It was a lifer for Karen, only the second one for Carol, and good find for Howard and me. This bird turned for good looks at the back and front and spread the wings, while defending the territory-on the rocks just to the south of the cove and west of the bridge.
