Charlie Corbeil, one of the founding members of the Friends of Viera Wetlands passed away November 5, 2013.Charlie was always at the Viera Wetlands and knew where the birds were, and knew which ones had chicks in the nest. He was always eager to share the beauty with everyone he met. Charlie will be remembered for his amazing photography and his willingness to share information with other photographers at the wetlands. If you have ever visited the Viera Wetlands, chances are that you saw Charlie Corbeil, a wildlife photographer who is a member of the Friends of the Viera Wetlands and has donated many of his photographs to that origination for use in their brochures and projects. He also has had many of his photos appear in the Viera Voice newspaper. Here is a video produced by Viera Voice about Charlie and the Viera Wetlands.

That was one nice man and it is sad to not see him at the Wetlands anymore.

Apparently, they have named the entrance to the Viera Wetlands as Charlie Corbeil Way. See Tom Brewers post...... . Very Appropriate A great way to honer Charlie's love for the bird life at the Viera Wetlands.
