Anhinga with a fish it captured at the Viera Wetlands. It struggled for about 15 minutes before it could position the fish so it could swallow it. Note in the last photograph how the tail feathers of the bird are fanned out. I suspect that provides for some water resistance which helps the bird maintain balance while it struggles to position the captured fish to swallow the meal.
